TriVector Welcomes Dr. Phillip A. Farrington

TriVector Services is pleased to announce that Dr. Phillip A. Farrington has joined our team.
Dr. Farrington comes to us after retiring from the University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) after 26 years as a Professor of Industrial and Systems Engineering and Engineering Management. During his tenure at UAH, he secured 55 grants and contracts worth more than 7.3 million dollars and authored or co-authored 95 technical publications. Additionally, he chaired 54 Masters committees and 17 Ph.D. committees for students pursuing graduate degrees in Industrial & Systems Engineering & Engineering Management. While at UAH, Dr. Farrington taught courses in Engineering Economic Analysis, Statistical Quality Control, Design & Analysis of Experiments, Advanced Statistical Applications, Modern Manufacturing/Production Systems, Computer Integrated Manufacturing, Integrated Product and Process Design, Materials and Manufacturing Processes, and Systems Analysis and Design. He also served as the Director of Distance Learning for the College of Engineering from September 2002 to May 2008 and as Interim Dean of Engineering from June 2008 to August 2010. In addition, from 2012 until his retirement in 2017 he served as the Principal Investigator for the NASA Systems Engineering Research Consortium.
Dr. Farrington has served as a consultant for 4M Research, Alabama Insulated Wire, ASRI, Fontaine International Inc., McDonnel Douglas Space Systems, Montana State University, Moore Business Forms, Raytheon Corporation and the U.S. Army Missile Command.
Dr. Farrington graduated from the University of Missouri in Columbia with a Bachelor’s Degree in 1983 and a Master’s Degree in 1984 both in Industrial Engineering. He graduated from Oklahoma State University with his Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering and Management in 1991.
