TriVector Services Sponsors Tennessee Valley BEST
on Wednesday, 14 February 2018.
On October 14, 2017, Dr. Willie Fitzpatrick represented TriVector Services during Calhoun Community College’s Tennessee Valley BEST (TVB) at Priceville Junior High. TriVector was one of the sponsors for this event.
TVB is a STEM-centered competition developed from a partnership between Calhoun and Auburn University. Through the Boosting Engineering, Science, and Technology (BEST) program, students have the opportunity to work in teams to apply the technology learned in the program to solve complex design problems. The TVB’s mission is to reach out to K-12 STEM students across North Alabama and South-Central Tennessee through school’s participations in BEST Robotics. This year, the Decatur Austin Robotics Coalition (DARC), winner of the 2017 TVB Game Day, also won the 2017 South’s BEST Regional Robotics Competition in Auburn on December 2.

Also pictured, third from left is Mr. Mark Rose, the TV BEST Hub Director and an Instructor at Calhoun Community College. According to Dr. Fitzpatrick, “There are various STEM centered programs that students can participate these days. However, I believe the BEST Robotics competition offers a great low-cost opportunity for these students to learn about team-building, marketing, product development, the integration of software and hardware, and community involvement.”
